eh-hem. Let me introduce myself and this blog:
In the past year I...
- Got engaged
- Moved from Columbus, Ohio to Los Angeles, California
- Quit my job
- Planned a wedding
- Got married (This is big enough itself to be a big deal)
- Discovered a life-changing health issue (I can't eat gluten!)
- Changed my name (I went from having a common American last name to a common Hispanic one)
- Moved from Los Angeles, California to Cleveland, Ohio
- Lost my last childhood pet, my kitty Maggie (and my last cat period - turns out my husband is allergic)
- Have been unemployed for the longest length of time since college (8 months and counting)
- Changed churches (twice)
- Tried to make new friends (twice) - and I say 'tried' because I'm still not there yet
- Have been a bridesmaid in one wedding and about to be in 2 more before the end of the year
That was exhausting just typing it. I could keep going but I'll spare you the gruesome details. Needless to say, my life has been a little crazy lately. That's what this blog is about - adjusting to my new crazy life.
Oh, right, and my name is Emily, nice to meet you. (I forgot to add that I'm socially awkward and I have a thing for parenthesis - it's my inner-inner dialogue.)
